RISE Festival isn’t your typical music festival. It’s the world’s largest sky lantern release, and the experience hits differently than you’d expect. Each attendee receives two lanterns to inscribe with hopes, dreams, or messages they’re ready to let go of. Twice per night, thousands of participants light their lanterns at once and watch them drift into the desert sky together.
The visual is hard to describe until you’ve seen it. A sea of warm, glowing lights rising in unison against the Mojave’s wide-open darkness. People weep openly. There’s something about releasing your intentions alongside strangers, all of you becoming a community in that single moment, that catches you off guard.

What You Need to Know for 2025
RISE Festival runs October 3rd, 4th, and 5th, 2025. Friday is nearly sold out. Saturday and Sunday tickets are still available, though not for long. This event sells out every year.
Getting there is simple. Luxury coaches run directly from Strip hotels, or you can drive yourself and park at the festival grounds. No camping required. Arrive, experience it all, and return to your hotel the same night.
Time your arrival for sunset. Watching the desert sky shift from brilliant oranges to deep purples before the lanterns rise? That’s half the experience right there.
