Every city has that one restaurant you save for the people who matter most. In Las Vegas, mine is Al Solito Posto—a Mediterranean escape tucked into Tivoli Village that’s earned its spot in TIME Magazine’s World’s Greatest Places.
Why This Summerlin Spot Stands Out
Chef James Trees has built something worth talking about here. Forget the typical Vegas Italian joint with checkered tablecloths and predictable red sauce. Al Solito Posto serves elevated Italian food in a courtyard setting that feels like the Amalfi Coast, not the desert.
The menu reads like a love letter to Italian tradition, but with modern touches throughout. During my latest visit, we worked through an embarrassing number of dishes:
- Artichokes – perfectly prepared and addictive
- Squash blossoms – delicate, memorable
- Black truffle bruschetta – earthy and rich
- Rigatoni vodka – the pasta dreams are made of
- Cacio e pepe – simple perfection
- Wild mushroom risotto – creamy without feeling heavy
- Stuffed eggplant – a vegetarian highlight
Every plate delivered. That’s rare, even in a dining city like Vegas.
The Setting
Tivoli Village itself is worth the trip. European-inspired architecture, boutique shops, and an atmosphere that feels distinctly un-Vegas (in the best way). Al Solito Posto anchors the village with warm lighting and romantic patio seating that works year-round, thanks to our desert climate.
What You Need to Know
The restaurant sits about 20 minutes from the Strip at 420 S. Rampart Blvd. in Summerlin. Hours run Sunday through Thursday from 4pm to 10pm. Friday and Saturday extend until 11pm. Make reservations. Locals have caught on, and tables fill fast.
This is where I bring every visitor who wants Las Vegas beyond the casino floor. It’s my go-to for impressing out-of-towners, celebrating birthdays, or just doing a Tuesday evening right.
