Two NFL legends are coming to one Las Vegas restaurant this month, and you can meet both of them. America Restaurant and Bar inside New York-New York is hosting Pro Football Hall of Famer Andre Reed on Sunday, October 18, and former Los Angeles Rams Pro Bowl running back Todd Gurley on Sunday, October 25. Both meet and greets happen before the afternoon kickoffs, so you can grab a photo, eat, and settle in for the game without leaving the building.
I went down to America this week to check out the new look and the game day menu. Here is everything you need to know.
Quick Facts
- Where: America Restaurant and Bar, New York-New York Hotel and Casino, on the Las Vegas Strip

- Todd Gurley: Sunday, October 25, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- How to get a ticket: Buy two featured cocktails, three featured beers or seltzers, or show a $40 food and drink receipt

- Extras: Swag and giveaways while supplies last
Andre Reed: Pregame Your Pantalones Off
Sunday, October 18, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Andre Reed is one of the greatest wide receivers in Buffalo Bills history. He played in four straight Super Bowls with Buffalo and went into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2014. With the Bills in town that weekend, it is the perfect morning to meet him.
The event is presented with Pantalones Tequila. The featured cocktails are the Sin Pantalones and the Strawberry Diablo at $17 each, and drafts and bottles are $11 each during the event.
To get your ticket to meet Andre Reed, buy two of the $17 featured cocktails, three Bud Lights, or show a $40 food and drink receipt.
Bonus: follow @AmericaRestaurantLV on Instagram for a chance to win a signed Andre Reed mini helmet. The Bud Light Girls will also be handing out swag and giveaways while supplies last.
Todd Gurley: Wild Games
Sunday, October 25, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Todd Gurley II was one of the most explosive running backs of his era. With the Rams he was a Pro Bowler, the 2017 AP Offensive Player of the Year, and a key part of the team that reached Super Bowl LIII.
This one is presented with Wild Turkey Bourbon. The featured cocktails are the Wild Agave Smash and the Wild Turkey Palmer at $17 each.
To get your ticket to meet Todd Gurley, buy two of the $17 featured cocktails, three $11 Bud Lights, Michelob Ultras or NUTRL Seltzers, or show a $40 food and drink receipt.
The Game Day Menu
The food is the part I would come back for even without a famous face in the room. America runs themed dishes for Las Vegas home games all season, plus specials inspired by whichever team is visiting.
Buffalo Week (October 18)
- Buffalo chicken loaded waffle fries
- Buffalo chicken wing dip with tortilla chips
LA Week (October 25)
- Korean-marinated LA galbi short ribs with white rice and mixed greens
- Bacon-wrapped LA Street Dog piled with grilled onions, peppers and jalapeƱos
Raiders Favorites
- Silver and Black Chicken and Waffles
- Barbecue pork ribs with loaded brisket fries
America Just Got a Whole New Look
If you have not been to America in a while, it has had a serious refresh. The giant U.S. map suspended over the dining room is still the star, and now it lights up with projections. The dining room is brighter, and there are TVs throughout the restaurant and bar, so there is no bad seat for the game.
It is also open 24/7. The menu runs from giant pancakes and breakfast favorites to burgers, comfort food and late-night bites. That makes it one of the easiest calls on the Strip whether you are fueling up for a Sunday or finishing a long Saturday night.
Insider Tips
- Get there early. These are short windows and the line will build, especially for Andre Reed with Bills fans in town.
- Leave the memorabilia at home. Outside items are not permitted, so do not bring your jersey or football to get signed.
- Make a day of it. The meet and greets wrap up before the afternoon games, so grab a table afterward and watch the game on the big screens.
- Not drinking? Non-alcoholic versions of the featured cocktails count, or just hit the $40 food and drink minimum.
